Awakening is a late-game progression system that unlocks a monster's hidden potential. How to Unlock the Awakening System

To access the Awakening Altar, you must first complete the "Ancient Power" questline. This quest becomes available at Trainer Level 30 after clearing Chapter 5 of the main story. Speak to the Sage NPC in the central plaza of Aether City to begin.

The quest requires you to collect three Awakening Shards from specific boss raids. These shards are guaranteed drops from the first weekly clear of each boss. After obtaining all three shards, return to the Sage to unlock the Awakening Altar permanently.
